Dear Mum, For Christmas I would like... Lucky Voice Party Box

I like to think of myself as a bit of a singer, which is a shame for others. I also love a good relevant brand extension, which is why the Lucky Voice Party Box is music to my ears.

I was very excited by the launch of Lucky Voice in Soho a few years back, not least because my girlfriend at the time and I had actually discussed doing the same thing after loving it in Japan.

Not content with branches in Soho, Islington, Manchester and Cardiff, Lucky Voice now wants to get into your home. Currently in Beta, Lucky Voice Home Karaoke allows you to recreate the experience in your own home , in a more-stylish-than-singstar-on-the-Playstation kind of way.

Buying the box gives you the means to sing along, connecting it to a speaker or what have you, while you also get a subscription to the site. There are over 6,000 songs, but not Magic Dance by David Bowie from the film Labyrinth, or Nick Berry's Every Loser Wins (a genuine surprise). You can create your own playlists and share them with friends which is a great feature.

The site is so stylish and the business brains behind it (I believe Martha Lane Fox is responsible) such high pedigree, this promises to become Facebook for karaoke. Or something that sounds better.

Available exclusively from the Lucky Voice site www.luckyvoice.com, but not yet and only in limited supplies.
