Four o'clock funny - Baked Potato

It's an ode to a baked potato, which is also a duet with a baked potato. There's something brilliantly innocent about George Dawes that doesn't really come out in the Little Britain characters, at least that's how it seems to me.

I wonder if, were they to bring back Shooting Stars permanently, more people would recognise Matt Lucas as George Dawes or as one of his other, probably more famous, characters? I always see him as George.

Four o'clock funny - Lesbians

You can't beat a good Lesbian Calypso. We were marvelling at how much slimmer Matt Lucas was back in the day. That is all.

Four o'clock funny - I invented the flu

"I apologise to you. Atchoo!"

The Shooting Stars night on Tuesday brought back so many brilliant memories, particularly of the genius that is George Dawes. As a bit of a tribute, I'm going to post as many George Dawes clips as I can find over the next few days.

Today's is from Tuesday night's show. As with many of these, Matt Lucas tends to lose it a bit if he looks at Bob Mortimer. Brilliant.
